HBCU SPORTS SUMMIT
HBCU SPORTS SUMMIT!
SPRING 2025
The HBCU Sports Summit aims to promote and support Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through athletics. It provides high school athletes with exposure to college coaches and admissions personnel, helping with recruitment and preparation for higher education at HBCUs.
The summit emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and financial literacy among young athletes. It includes instructional sessions, competitive drills, and combines, allowing participants to showcase their skills to college coaches. Additionally, the event features panels on mental health, financial management, Black Tech, and the college admissions process, educating students and their families on the benefits and opportunities at HBCUs.
The summit also serves as a platform to discuss the cultural and academic significance of HBCUs, fostering a community that highlights their accomplishments and potential. This initiative raises awareness and appreciation of HBCUs, encouraging more students to consider them for higher education.
